Happy birthday. We are throwing you out of Britain

The son of the President of UK, known as Paul turn 20 years and he travel to Spain very happy to be out of Britain.
Paul has always been the black sheep of the family and he has been different from his family, and yesterday he celebrated his birthday saying that he hates Britain, and that he prepared a travel to go to Spain to live there. His father has said publicly that he would not give his inheritance to his son.

A man is shot to death during a robbery at his home.

Last Tuesday Juan Luna, a 28-year-old north Houston construction worker, was shot to death by a fireman who fired one shot in his chest and then sped away in a dark-colored two-door import car. The victim died hours later at the Memorial Hermann Hospital. The victim was married and had two children.

Houston homicide detectives are investigating and request assistance from the public. Anyone with information is asked to contact HPD homicide detectives at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

There are two different types of newspapers: tabloids and broadsheets.

- TABLOIDS: They are less serious newspapers and they are known by their small size (380 mm by 300 mm). An example of tabloid is the Sun.

- BROADSHEETS: They are serious-minded and have large size (600 mm by 380 mm). An example of broadsheet could be The Guardian.

The Guardian is a British newspaper that was founded in Manchester in 1821 by a group of non-conformist businessmen headed by John Edward Taylor. It is a broadsheet.
The everyday edition costs 80p except on Saturday, that it costs £1.50.
Apart from the newspaper, the Guardian includes a supplement. It’s called G2 and it includes the TV and radio guide,…The readers get different supplement s depending on the day: economy, society,...

The Sun was published in 1963 and the name comes from the Birmingham Sun (Student University Newspaper). It is a daily tabloid published in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
It contains news about entertainment and scandals involving celebrities and it is famous for its witty, pertinent, outrageous, or blatantly offensive headlines .
The Sun is so controversial because its headlines, the page 3 topless girls and the bold presentation of news.It has often been accused of racist and homophobic.

Another type of journalism is the yellow journalism. Is a type of journalism that downplays legitimate news in favour of eye-catching headlines that sell more newspapers.

Place	Functions
The meeting area	Is where all the members of the newsroom meet to talk about the news agenda for every day. They discuss about the most important news, and they also decide who is going to cover the success.
The studio	Is where the presenter presents to the audience what happened. Next to this room, there is a gallery that is a place where a person of the team of technical staff make sure that the programme is going good without any problem.
The research desk	The researches plan the stories that the journalists will cover in the future, they do it on the research desk. In the research desk there is a telephone and a computer with Internet access. There is also a news diary.
The news desk	Its where the latest news from around the world come to the ears of the reports. The reports have to make quickly decisions about the news that comes to them. In the room there’s a TV, a radio and some computers. The telephone never stops ringing.
The subeditor’s desk	The subeditor makes sure the reports are correct and that they are interesting to the people. He /She uses a dictionary because he /she is responsible for check the spelling and grammar in the reports.
The picture desk	Is where the photographers work. They choose and prepare the best pictures for the news. They have photographers in all the world if the news are happening in other countries.
The editor’s office	The editor decide which reports are going to be published. Is also in charge of everyone in the newsroom.

GOOD AND BAD THINGS ABOUT BLOGS:

Last week we were talking about blogs. And we reached a conclusion: Blogs can be useful for students but it can also be harmful.

Good things:
· It's a way to learn and communicate
· It's a way to express our opinion
· It's free
· It's easy to use
· They are versatile
· It's useful and you can work with it at home and everywerwe with computer

Negative things:
· You can find porno (but you can find porno everywere)
· People can enter private infromation
· Maybe, some coments can be ofensive
· People can upload your pictures without your permission
· The pictures can also be ofensive.

Conclusion:
So our conclusion is that you can create a blog, but you always will find bad things, not only with blogs, if not with everything.

How do I get my news?

We always get our news from television, tv3 (anna) and Antena 3 (Carla).
There are other news sources: for example, on the radio, or maybe in the Internet. Sometimes in our life we have listened news on the radio. For example, when you are listening to music there are some music news about new songs, or singers that have released a new song and we have also searched a newsitem in a paper or maybe in the Internet for a school's assignment.
There a lot of ways to see, or listen what's going on in the world.

We see the news on the television when we are having dinner.
